If Ruben Elmaleh could do it, he’d cook for his guests.
With more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, the native of Morocco takes guest service personally at his business, Paris Rentals by Ruben. For the past nine years, Elmaleh has been dedicated to making people feel at home whether they stay a few nights or weeks at one of the 60 vacation rental properties that Paris Rentals by Ruben manages.
Transitioning from hospitality to the vacation rental industry was easy for Elmaleh. He still uses his natural propensity to provide an easy and pleasurable experience for staying in the City of Lights. Elmaleh has built a company that offers visitors a selection of carefully curated apartments in the best neighborhoods of Paris, offering many amenities, close proximity to attractions and convenient transportation.
The combination of personalized service and some of the best accommodations in the city for the price has lifted revenue for Paris Rentals by Ruben.
“Our business is growing,” he said recently at KigoWorld.
Paris Rentals by Ruben started out as many other vacation rental companies do, with a committee approach to managing the day-to-day business. Bookings and turnarounds were handled by multiple applications, and without a channel manager. Some of the tasks were labor-intensive and challenged his efforts to provide top-level service to guests.
Providing personalized service while simplifying day-to-day tasks
Over the years, the vacation rental management company expanded with offerings in Las Vegas, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Israel, Morocco and several other destinations. As Elmaleh onboarded new owners, as one might imagine, he felt the pain of managing multiple processes.
“At the beginning, we did not have a channel manager,” he said. “I had been thinking about it for a while, about trying to use a single application to manage all the related services of seasonal rentals.”
Enter Kigo Marketplace.
Paris Rentals by Ruben recently partnered with the all-in-one vacation rental solution that increases visibility, bookings and revenue. Moreover, the solution enables Elmaleh to help fulfill expectations of guests and owners, like having the time to respond promptly and courteously to guest emails and phone calls, greet guests upon arrival in Paris, verify the apartment condition before and after guest stays, and arrange for minor repairs on behalf of the owner.
A key feature is Kigo’s vacation rental channel manager, which distributes property data to online travel agencies while syncing the property management company’s calendar and external listings. Operators can increase performance per channel and seamlessly manage all the day-to-day functions – like marketing commissions, maximizing revenue, minimizing expenses and mitigating risks. Marketing strategies can also be created offline with Kigo’s Channel Manager Simulator.
Saving valuable time and resources
With different channels come varied audiences that are essential to Paris Rentals by Ruben’s business. The company's team is truly international and speaks a multitude of languages, a selling point to attract guests from all over the world.
Elmaleh has found out quickly that Kigo Marketplace is going to be a big time saver.
“Kigo Marketplace met all my expectations perfectly, since I group everything in this same version,” he said. “It is a lot easier to manage things, by not involving many partners and interconnected applications. What we’re going to experience in the next few months seems very exciting for me.”
