Meet Daniela Ourivio Bueno, Kigo Implementation Consultant. A native of Brazil, Daniela now calls Barcelona home. Daniela is passionate about technology and the power it has to improve our lives both professionally and personally. At Kigo, she taps into that passion to deliver world-class solutions to clients.

Tell us about yourself!

I was born a small town near Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais in Brazil. I moved to Barcelona in 2006 to earn my Masters in Architecture. In 2010, I decided to change my career, as the architecture sector was very over-crowded in Barcelona. I entered a new industry: the technology sector for vacation rentals.

Barcelona in a way combines architecture and technology, being smart city and a world reference in urbanism and architecture. I usually go to work by bike and truly enjoy this amazing city and everything it has to offer. Even though I have been here for many years, I sometimes look like a tourist taking pictures on my way to work.

What is your role at Kigo?

I am an Implementation Consultant at Kigo and I work for the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets. My role is to successfully on-board our clients by helping them set up their Kigo accounts and grow their businesses.

Why do you do your job, and what do you love about working at Kigo?

I do my job because I love working with the best technology solutions that support productivity, time savings and organization. This is something that comes very naturally to me, both at work and in my free time. Technology is in so much of our lives, allowing us to do things more easily and effectively. I also love working for an international company and getting the culture exchange from my colleagues and clients.

What makes Kigo stand out from the competition?

Kigo was one the first systems that set focus in vacation rentals. We have gained know-how from our clients, and are always listening to them so that we can improve our systems and and develop many new features and apps. We also show clients that there is a real person behind the system, making Kigo much more personal and the number one option in the industry.

What is your favorite feature of Kigo? How does it help VRs do their jobs better?

I love the Guest App because it provides a great experience for the guests and also saves a lot of time for the property managers. Win-Win!

How is Kigo changing the vacation rental industry?

Kigo is constantly working on developments and innovations to help our clients have easier and more efficient systems. We don't just listen to the clients, we also follow through.

How does your hobby or passion translate into your role at Kigo?

I love technology and I try to transmit this to my clients. I know how important it is to have a system that allows you to become more efficient, professional and able focus on more important things. And in a way, to also have a better quality of life as a result.

What do you look for in a vacation rental?  What do you avoid?

I look for properties where I can find good restaurants, activities and places to explore. I want a practical place with a good location, near the center of the city, and with WiFi of course. When I’m traveling, I need internet to talk with my family and use Google Maps!

How can property owners make their vacation rentals more appealing to travellers like yourself?

With great pictures and good reviews, and with complete information about the property and nearby places to visit.
