The Faces of Kigo: Meet Rosie Trozzi

Meet Rosie Trozzi, Kigo Implementations Consultant Team Leader. Rosie has lived and worked throughout Europe, and now calls Barcelona home. She loves to travel, and her experience operating in multicultural environments has prepared her to build strong relationships with our global clients.

Tell us about yourself!

My name is Rosalba, but everybody call me Rosie. I was born in Italy and I grew up moving all over my beautiful country due to my parents' job. I enjoyed it so much that after leaving my parents' house, I kept moving to different cities around Europe, until I discovered Barcelona 10 years ago and found my home. I have two big passions, traveling and diving. My favorite destination is South East Asia, because it has so many different cultures to discover and an amazing underwater life.

What is your role at Kigo?

I'm the Implementation Consultant Team Leader for the Barcelona office. I make sure our new clients get the best possible on-boarding experience, assigning their implementation projects to our implementation experts and assisting the team with everything they need (training sessions, task management, processes etc.) The implementations team listens to our clients needs and adapts the implementation steps based on the client goals, working together to achieve them in the shortest amount of time possible.

What do you love about your job?

I’ve been working in the vacation rental industry for 10 years and since the beginning, I’ve loved its dynamism and its multi-cultural environment. Still today, these are the things that motivate me the most. I like working with such inspiring and professional people and feel I’m growing together with the company.

What makes Kigo stand out from the competition?

All our additional services makes Kigo a complete product that allows our clients to manage all of the aspects of their business. This gives them the possibility to grow and succeed. We are also continuously working on improvements and innovating new products.

What is your favorite feature of Kigo?

Definitely the Guest App, because it allows the VRs to provide outstanding customer service and also helps them centralize communications with their guests.

How is Kigo changing the vacation rental industry?

Kigo is all about innovation. In our platform, we have all of the products that VRs need to successfully manage their business. We are also now the only vacation rental software that completely integrates payments into the system without having to log into a third party service.

How do your hobbies translate into your role at Kigo?

My hobbies of traveling and diving have taught me how to deal with stressful situations. They have also helped me understand and get in touch with different cultures, which is very important to better communicate with our international clients.

How do you approach finding places to stay when you travel?

I usually visit the most popular booking websites and filter by score. I check the location and the pictures, and then I read the reviews of the accommodation I selected to make sure it’s the place I need. Afterward, I look online to see if the place has its own website and book from the direct source.

What do you look for in a vacation rental?  What do you avoid?

It depends on the type of travel and destination, but the three must-haves are location, WiFi and cleanliness. I don’t drive, so being close to the places I want to visit is very important.

How can property owners make their vacation rentals more appealing to travelers like yourself?

Good pictures are mandatory. It’s important to give the traveller a good idea of what the property looks like and showcase its qualities. Property owners should also work hard to get good reviews and be open to the guests' suggestions.
