5 VRMA International Conference Sessions We Can’t Wait to Attend

Once again, the Kigo Software team will be attending VRMA International 2019 in New Orleans, LA. As a sponsor, we are presenting and we also have a booth (Booth #1011) where you can meet with experts and test Kigo Marketplace for yourself. The session schedule is packed with tons of informative sessions that will help you improve your vacation rental company.

The Kigo team picked out five sessions as the ones they are most excited to attend. Before we get started, lets first mention our Kigo Vacation Rental Trivial Pursuit Session. The questions will be tough, but with prizes that could be valued up to $500, it's something you won't want to miss!

  1. Strategies and Lessons Learned by Property Managers and OTAs

What happens when you put property managers and OTA executives in a room? You're about to find out. With Steve Milo moderating this session with popular vacation rental podcast hosts "Sarah and T", we know they will help to keep everything professional and lively. Kigo’s partner Darik Eaton is also a panelist, and he will have some great questions for the Airbnb and Booking.com representatives.

  1. 19 Must-Have Marketing Tactics for 2019

19 tactics? Wow! We're glad Steve has an entire hour for this session, but he could probably use 2 or 3 hours given his wealth of knowledge. We got a sneak preview of this content from Steve at KigoWorld, and it was a session to remember.

When we heard that Steve was going to be presenting about vacation rental SEO at VRMA, it spoke to our heart as Kigo will be offering an SEO product in 2020 and we can’t wait to show our clients. SEO plays an essential role in increasing direct vacation rental bookings because it helps drive free/organic search to vacation rental websites. Optimizing property pages can also help increase OTA rankings.

Steve will also be talking about voice search, and we can’t wait for him to drop that knowledge.

  1. VRMB Roundtable with Matt Landau

Matt Landau always provides valuable takeaways, and this session won’t be any different. At VRMA, Matt will showcase 10 property managers and offer them tips on how to overcome obstacles that inhibit their growth. These 10 property managers are likely to have challenges similar to yours, so if you think about it, Matt Landau will actually be your personal property management consultant for an hour—giving you solutions on how to grow your business. It's hard to put a price on what that is worth.

  1. How to Get More Direct Bookings. Plain and Simple.

This session is focused on how to drive repeat guests directly to you by gaining a better understanding of your customer. This includes their friction points on your website, and how users reach your website in the first place.

Looking to increase direct bookings? Here are some great questions to ask as you work toward that goal:

  • How does your Sales funnel work?
  • What keywords are consumers using to find you and your competitors?
  • Are you providing answers on your website to these questions?
  • How can you improve business relationships and leverage word-of-mouth Marketing?

Attendees will hear first hand case studies from companies who have successfully driven direct bookings.

  1. Women Leading the Way in the Hospitality Industry

Kigo is honored to be among the growing number of Hospitality companies with female leadership. Earlier this year we sponsored the Vacation Rental Women's Summit, where Kigo Vice President of Operations Hannah Zarley spoke about developing company culture. Our parent company, RealPage, also hosts an Annual Women’s Summit where some of our company’s most successful strategies have originated.

“Our objective is to bring the smartest and most influential women in the industry together to inspire and empower each other and discuss important topics,” said Zarley.

We're looking forward to attending this session at VRMA and seeing how it will help empower women in the hospitality industry.
