Vacation rental property managers, suppliers and owners have more opportunities than ever to learn about one of the home rental industry’s hottest segments. 1. KigoWorld '20

2. TTG Travel Experience

What: This event is actually 3 travel industry trade shows going on at once with over 70,000 travel professionals and more than 2,000 exhibitors. Kigo will be at TTG Travel Experience, which is one of Italy’s biggest travel and tourism trade shows. TTG Travel Experience is the place to discover the latest trends in the travel industry, meet professionals and experts from all over the world and grow your network and your business. Billed as the only true gateway to the Italian tourism market, TTG Travel Experience hosts more than 2,000 exhibitors, 300 events, seminars and training courses over three days. 3. VRMA International

What: This is the global conference for the vacation rental industry and there’s no better place than the multicultural setting of the New Orleans French Quarter for the 2019 version. The International Conference program provides attendees the opportunity to hear from vacation rental managers, leading suppliers and vendor representatives, subject matter experts and motivational speakers. Marriott International Homes & Villas Vice President Jennifer Hsieh is among the featured speakers and will discuss the world’s largest hospitality company’s recent entry into the vacation rental space. 4. Expo Renta Vacacional

What: EXPO - International Conference is where vacation rental property managers, hosts, owners, investors and real estate agents meet to discuss and order vacation rentals in Mexico. Visit the show room and attend the conference sessions. This event offers takeaways for property managers and hosts as well as vacation rental supplier and real estate developers and agents. Olympic Gold Medalist and Hall of Fame Speed Skating World Champion Dan Jansen headlines the event. More than three dozen industry speakers are lined up, as well.

5. HOST 2019 Conference & Exposition

What: Kigo’s Matthew Hoffman, Senior Vice President of short-term rentals, headlines this free event dedicated to the “rentalpreneur” and holiday rental community. HOST 2019 is aimed at rental entrepreneurs and hosts, vacation rental and holiday villas owners, and operators and players in the small-to-medium and big hospitality and hotel fields. Attendees can learn tips to increase returns on vacation rental properties.

6. WTM London

What: At WTM London, more than 50,000 global travel trade professionals converge to learn more about the travel industry, purchase products and services, and gain access to nearly 40 travel sectors. Networking between attendees and businesses is encouraged by the geographical division of the exhibition floor, and exhibitor stands are grouped by area. Companies specializing in travel technology, wellness & spa and luxury travel can explore in dedicated feature areas. The conference is a place to learn about travel trends, issues and innovations through seminars held by industry leaders. U.S. travel and tourism representatives are expected to turn out at this year’s event in large numbers.

7. FITUR International Tourism Trade Fair

What: Network with huge tour operators, travel agencies, carrier companies, hotel and lodging representatives and residential tourism firms. FITUR features no shortage of travel media, press and international tourism boards. Travel industry professionals can browse the fair free of charge (with proof of registration and industry credentials.) New at FITUR 2020 is FITUR Talent, which focuses on people and their talents, skills and professional development as “the linchpin for competitiveness in the global tourism industry, both now and in the future.”

8. BIT Milano

What: Organized by Fiera Milano, BIT International Travel Exhibition is where deals can be made. The conference promotes the meeting between decision makers, industry experts and carefully selected and profiled buyers from geographic areas with the highest rate of economic growth and from all sectors of the travel industry. Two of the three days of the conference are reserved for industry professionals, one is open to the public. Industry stakeholders can meet the supply and demand of international tourism in the Leisure area and present their offers to specialized buyers in the MICE area.

9. ITB Berlin

What: ITB Berlin is touted as where supply meets demand in the global travel industry. Representatives from more than 180 countries and 10,000 exhibitors attend. The ITB Berlin Convention takes on topics that will impact the global travel and tourism industry, and bring sustainable changes in the coming years. The ITB Convention analyzes market trends and highlights best practices. The ITB Convention is also a platform for exchange for decision-makers in the areas of tourism economics, politics and science.

10. VRMA Europe

What: Attending VRMA is one of the best ways to increase vacation rental management knowledge through highly-focused learning. This year’s conference will showcase best practices, innovative strategies and lessons learned. Among key focus areas explored are how to choose a property management software system, working with OTAs and the rise of distribution, utilizing Google Analytics, social media strategy and data utilization to optimize listings.

11. VRMA Spring Forum

What: The VRMA Spring Forum, which hosted its first event last year in Charlotte, N.C. as a replacement for the organization’s annual regional events, focuses on key topics in the vacation rental industry from regulations to improving guest experiences to running businesses more efficiently through technology and basic practices. More than 700 showed for last year’s conference, which injected interactive elements and workshops into sessions along with live website reviews.

12. Vacation Rental Women’s Summit

What: The Vacation Rental Women’s Summit, one of the vacation rental industry’s newest events, is the place where women can network and discuss key industry issues. The event, presented by the Vacation Rental Management Association and VRM Intel Magazine, debuted in 2019 and runs every other year. VRM Intel CEO Amy Hinote, considered one of the top women professionals in the industry, says the conference is about bringing together the best and brightest who lead the industry.  “Our objective is to bring the smartest and most influential women in the industry together to inspire and empower attendees and discuss high-level topics facing the vacation rental sector.”
